THE ANTIGONE PROJECT: AFTER SOPHOCLES (2013)

The music and installation works inspired by Sophocles's tragedy Antigone:

1 - Ritual After Antigone (2013) - For six voices and live electronics. Duration: 04'15 minutes

Recorded at the studio of the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (London) in 2013 .

German premiere as a sound installation at Sound activism017 at sound gallery Ohrenhoch, der Geräuschladen (Berlin) - 30th of July, 6th of August, 13th of August, 2017
Curator and loudspeaker installation: Knut Remond. .

Performers: Louise Fuller (Soprano), Tom Drew (Tenor), Guy Elliot (Tenor), James Newby (Baritone), Nicholas Moodie (Baritone), Simon Dryer (Bass), G. Janiashvili (Electronics/Direction).

2 - After Antigone's Death (2013) - Sound installation for electronic/concrete sounds. Duration: 13 minutes
Sound installation, two speakers, raw liver, large beef bone, raw fish, polyethylene, shower space.

German premiere: Sound activism017 sound gallery Ohrenhoch, der Geräuschladen (Berlin) - 30th of July, 6th of August, 13th of August, 2017.
Curator and loudspeaker installation: Knut Remond.

World premiere: King Charles Court, Old Royal Naval College, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (London) - 8th of February, 2013.

The sound installation was also exhibited at the  Ketevan Matabeli's Retrospective Exhibition at Georgian National Museum's D. Shevardnadze National Gallery (Tbilisi, Georgia) in 2015 - Curator: Ketevan Kintsurashvili. Designer: David Janiashvili. Composer: Gio Janiashvili.
